An audience of one

August 23, 2018

Water suspended calling forth a new day into momentary utter stillness, a vast, deep body generously focused on proudly projecting a mirror image. It is this nature‘s gift of grandeur to overwhelm me, however brief it may last. The scale is so immense. I feel so small. Unworthy of the majesty bestowed upon an audience of just one. “Don‘t move, it will go away!” I must take it in, every detail, for above an optimistic thready blue line determines to split asunder and vanquish the mean gray storm clouds of quiet.
